MY Standard PRICING MODEL
“Being a lawyer is not merely a vocation.
It is a public trust, and each of us has an obligation to give back to our communities.”
-Janet Reno, an American lawyer who served as the Attorney General of the United States
My goal is to offer accessible, efficient, and affordable legal services to individuals and families across Virginia.
I work hard to keep my pricing fair, predictable, and transparent. My model sits in the upper‑middle tier for solo practitioners in Northern Virginia — not bargain pricing, not premium boutique pricing, but positioned as high‑value, high‑clarity, and intentionally predictable pricing.
My Pricing Model reflects my experience.

While I am committed to improving access to justice, I am also a solo practitioner and small business. At this time, I can’t offer free or pro bono services.
How I Use AI and Technology to Increase My Productivity–and Reduce Your Costs

Modern law practice is evolving rapidly, and technology is no longer optional — it’s essential. Progressive firms are integrating artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and secure digital tools to streamline operations, improve accuracy, and deliver more value to clients. The result is a practice that works smarter, not harder, while maintaining the ethical and professional standards that define the legal profession.
Efficiency Through Intelligent Systems
AI‑enabled tools like Google Gemeni and Microsoft Copilot now assist me document drafting, case research, and administrative workflows that once consumed hours of billable time. Automated transcription and meeting‑note systems capture details accurately, freeing me to focus on analysis and advocacy. Secure tools like Google Workplace and scheduling systems reduce back‑and‑forth communication, while integrated billing platforms ensure transparency and faster turnaround.
Reducing Costs Without Compromising Quality
By automating repetitive tasks and improving data organization, I can reduce overhead and administrative costs — savings that can be passed directly to clients. Technology minimizes errors, accelerates document review, and supports fixed‑fee or hybrid billing models that reward efficiency rather than time spent. Clients benefit from predictable costs and faster results.
Staying Progressive and Ethical
Adopting technology responsibly means staying current with both innovation and regulation. AI tools must be used under the guidance of professional judgment, never as substitutes for legal reasoning. Progressive firms–like mine–maintain confidentiality, comply with the Virginia Rules of Professional Conduct, and ensure that every technological advancement serves the client’s best interest.
The Future of Legal Service Delivery
By embracing technology, I am not replacing the human element — I’m enhancing it. By combining professional experience with modern tools, I can deliver precise, timely, and cost‑effective representation. The goal is simple: to make legal services more accessible, transparent, and responsive to the pace of today’s world.

First Step:
Initial Consultation

$99 per consultation
(Maximum time: 25 minutes)
If you’re new to my practice and services, the first step is to select an Initial Consultation. This gets us together for about the first 25 minutes.
At this point, I’ll ask you a few basic background questions. This will help frame your issue. I’ll give you a first impression of the issue. I will also offer you as many alternatives as I can muster.
Afterward, you’re free to ask questions. I hope we can figure out a general path or course to take. If not, I can at least give you something to think about or consider.
Second Step:
Engagement Session

$299 per session
(Maximum time: 50 minutes)
This meeting focuses on developing the legal strategy or approach we will take with your matter. By the end of the session, you will have:
(1.) a general understanding of possible outcomes, (2.) a sense of the expected timelines, (3.) a clear outline of next steps, and (4.) an understanding of what you will need to do—and what I will do—moving ahead.
Third Step:
Hourly Services | Retainer

$499 per hour of labor
$998 minimum balance on retainer
Hourly work is billed against a retainer, which functions like a down payment for future services. Your retainer is held in a dedicated interest-earning business account at Bank of America. Fees are deducted as work is completed. Any unused funds are returned to you at the conclusion of your matter.
Billing occurs in the standard minimum increment for attorneys: 0.1 hours (6 minutes), or about $49.
MY FLAT RATE PRICING MODEL
Flat fees are available for matters that are predictable, straightforward, and limited in scope.
These fees are typically offered | confirmed after your Initial Consultation or Engagement Session.
